Financial support for learners and students who show academic promise and financial need in eligible fields of study.

The LOCUM911 bursary and school scholarship programme assists learners and students who have the ability to succeed but lack the financial means to complete their studies. Support is awarded against published criteria and confirmed in writing.

Awards are made on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated financial need, the relevance of the field of study to the healthcare sector and the availability of funds in the relevant funding cycle.

Applications must be complete. Incomplete applications, or applications submitted without certified supporting documents, cannot be assessed.

  • Medicine and clinical sciences
  • Allied health and emergency care
  • Medical laboratory and diagnostic sciences
  • Public health and health administration
